Wrapping up the season

Greetings Singletrack Advocates!

I would like to thank all of you for your support of Singletrack Advocates and our trail projects over the years. Who knew that eight years ago a small group of fat-tire bikers would evolve to the point of bringing nearly 25 miles of singletrack to Anchorage? Give yourselves a pat on the back!

The Kincaid North Singletrack Project, 6.6 miles of new trail, is DONE! Although, it is not officially open until we finish the trail map (it is very close to completion). Thank you for your patience, as the map is an important part of emergency response. Permanent signage is also in the works.

Thanks to all the volunteers who came out to dig in the dirt. The tools were loaned to us by the National Park Service RTCA and also provided by Alaska Trails. We are missing two McLeods and two loppers. If you know the whereabouts of these tools please let me know so that we won’t have to pay for replacements.

See you on the trails!
